Well, after five flight changes, the Kakuda visitors finally arrived on Saturday at 5:00. The reception at the airport was exciting as each host family waved a sign to indicate which student they were searching for. Once everyone was accounted for, it was a rush back to Greenfield to Victory Christian Church for a delicious Thanksgiving-themed meal. Everyone enjoyed the time together while sharing food and fellowship. The mayor of Kakuda sent some nice gifts and then each visitor received a scrapbook to document their time spent in America. Our Japanese guests then sang a beautiful song about the cherished memories that will be made during their visit. By 8:00 each family was home and ready for some relaxation.
