Halloween

Last Saturday we celebrated Halloween in style in Fujio, Kakuda. We played Halloween games such as pin-the-eyepatch-on-the-pirate. We also had a costume contest, but the evening’s highlight was the trick-or-treating.

I went as kodzure ookami which is literally means lone wolf with cub, but is more often associated with the image of a samurai holding a baby. My plan was to tell the families handing out candy that since my baby was sleeping, could I get candy for two? Unfortunately, it didn’t work, but I still had a blast.

Note: the kamishimo, a relative of the kimono, I am wearing is actually a bib I received at a restaurant I went to with my friend Mr. Katou last February.
